What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Assist in the risk underwriting process and expand broker relationships
Process submissions and provide account triage for underwriters
Gather necessary information to quote and bind accounts
Generate and send correspondence on behalf of underwriters
Provide customer service and underwriting support to achieve premium goals
What is Required (Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, business, or a related field preferred
0-2 years of experience as an associate underwriter, underwriter, or relevant insurance experience
Foundational knowledge of insurance principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience in insurance or related fields
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Knowledge of market dynamics and competitive landscape
Willingness to travel up to 10% for shadowing opportunities
