We are seeking a Technical Inside Sales Engineer to join our HVAC manufacturing team based in Zaventem. In this role, you will serve as a critical bridge between our engineering capabilities and our customers, providing expert technical guidance throughout the sales process. You will manage customer inquiries, conduct detailed system calculations, select appropriate components, prepare accurate quotations, and drive sales forward with a strong sense of urgency. Your technical expertise combined with sales acumen will ensure customers receive tailored solutions that meet their specific heating, ventilation, and air conditioning requirements. This position demands both precision in technical analysis and efficiency in customer engagement to meet tight deadlines and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and analyze customer technical inquiries and specifications for HVAC systems
Perform detailed thermal and system calculations to determine customer requirements and system sizing
Select appropriate HVAC components and equipment based on customer needs, performance criteria, and budget constraints
Prepare comprehensive and accurate quotations with detailed technical specifications and pricing
Communicate technical solutions clearly to customers, addressing questions and concerns
Manage multiple customer requests simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards
Respond promptly to customer inquiries and prioritize urgent requests to meet critical deadlines
Coordinate with engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, quotations, and technical specifications
Contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes and customer satisfaction
Candidate Profile We are looking for candidates who combine strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems with genuine sales orientation and customer service excellence. You should be bilingual, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where urgency is paramount, and capable of translating complex technical information into clear customer communications. The ideal candidate demonstrates analytical rigor, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities without compromising quality or responsiveness.
Experience & Expertise Required
Proven experience in HVAC system design, engineering, or technical sales
Strong proficiency in HVAC calculations, including load calculations and system sizing
Solid knowledge of HVAC components, equipment selection, and product specifications
Demonstrated ability to prepare detailed technical quotations and proposals
Fluency in two languages (English and Dutch, or Dutch and French preferred)
Proficiency with quotation software, CAD tools, or similar technical applications
Experience in inside sales, customer support, or technical consulting roles
Qualities & Work Approach
Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to explain technical concepts clearly
