Job Overview
The Proposal Writer will apply proven federal proposal writing expertise and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and proposal teams, drafting compelling, compliant proposals. They will support drafting, messaging, and quality improvement across a range of proposals and special projects, delivering high quality, compliant proposals within tight proposal cycles as an integral member of the proposal team. Primary Responsibilities
Co-author and lead assigned volumes or sections for RFPs, RFIs, and assignments, providing expert writing support as needed. Partner with capture and business development teams to craft compelling narratives that reflect LM’s value propositions and strategic goals. Collaborate with the Proposal Operations team to provide seamless, high-quality proposal support. Develop and provide proposal writing trainings to proposal teams. Support proposal writing tool and process development. Desired Skills and Qualifications
Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry. Formal training or certifications in federal proposal writing, capture, or business development (e.g., Shipley). using generative AI tools and historical proposal databases to accelerate content creation. Background in related proposal development roles, such as Proposal Manager or Capture Manager. Current TS/SCI security clearance. Work Location and Travel
Full-time Remote Telework. The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings. Additional Information
Candidates are expected to be local to one of the four locations listed. The position is remote, but may require onsite presence for certain proposal development activities.
