About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to champion a culture of safety and environmental stewardship. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive EHS programs to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize workplace hazards. Your expertise in OSHA and EPA regulations, coupled with your strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, will be crucial in fostering a safe and environmentally responsible work environment.

Responsibilities

Champion a safety‑first culture by consistently adhering to established safety rules and procedures, promptly addressing unsafe conditions, and promoting proactive hazard reporting.

Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance through the development, implementation, and maintenance of up‑to‑date safety policies and procedures.

Ensure full compliance with all applicable OSHA and EPA regulations, staying abreast of regulatory changes and implementing necessary updates to EHS programs.

Spearhead safety training initiatives, delivering engaging and informative sessions to equip employees with the knowledge and skills to work safely.

Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies and emergency responders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring effective communication during incidents.

Lead cross‑functional teams in the execution of EHS projects, driving progress towards a safer and more environmentally sustainable workplace.

Conduct thorough inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with EHS regulations, recommending and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date EHS records, including training documentation, inspection reports, and incident investigations.

Qualifications Required Skills

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Demonstrated experience in Quality, Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field.

Fluency in both English and Spanish.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Solid understanding of environmental regulations and policies.

Preferred Skills

Three years of related experience.

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.

Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Familiarity with Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) principles.
