Job Overview The New Home Consultant manages the new home purchase process from initial contact to closing, creating a “tickled, delighted and happy” customer. Responsibilities include daily operations at Welcome Home Centers, processing sale agreements, and closing sales in line with company business plans.
Responsibilities
Engage and establish relationships with visitors to understand their home buying needs, utilizing the company's selling philosophy.
Self‑generate sales leads through community engagement, realtor partnerships, and proactive prospecting.
Develop comprehensive knowledge of the competitive market, including products, community features, and demographics.
Provide consistent follow‑through with customers from initial contact to post‑closing, maintaining accurate communication records.
Participate in sales meetings, neighborhood promotions, and marketing programs.
Ensure the maintenance of Welcome Home Center models and inventory homes.
Complete required training and participate in community events and phone banks.
Qualifications and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree and real‑estate license preferred.
1–2 years of experience in homebuilding or real‑estate sales preferred.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to use sales tracking tools.
Self‑motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements Regular, in‑person attendance at Company communities, job sites, and offices during regular work hours is essential. The position involves office/phone work and walking in all weather conditions on uneven surfaces within homesites. A valid state driver’s license is required. Finger dexterity is needed to operate a computer keyboard and telephone equipment. The ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds is required.
Compensation & Benefits
Base hourly rate: $23 – $23.08, subject to adjustment based on business‑related factors.
Potential eligibility for bonuses and commissions.
Eligible for company benefits as per policy.
