Position Overview The business development representative (BDR) is a critical member of the sales team, accountable for driving overall market awareness and share through direct and networking activities in relevant markets. The BDR manages prospecting and business development activities in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrating extensive knowledge of the company’s policies, products, and services.

Essential Functions

Resourcefully pursue prospective customers through research, cold calling, follow‑up, and campaigns.

Develop or re‑establish relationships with customers to build awareness of RICO solutions and explore potential opportunities.

Utilize cold calling and emails to prospective and new dealers to establish or rejuvenate relationships and educate them on our products, solutions, and capabilities.

Regularly research contacts and markets to identify new prospects, verify information, and keep databases current.

Manage the RICO rental fleet/used equipment through direct contact and networking with target customers to ensure achievement of sales quotas and utilization metrics.

Qualify leads and assign follow‑up tasks to the sales team for appointments, further discussions, and quotations.

Collaborate with the sales coordinator to assist with follow‑up and direct efforts and campaigns. \ Execute campaigns and short‑term blitzes as directed to develop contacts, information, and leads in specific areas or industries.

Achieve weekly/monthly call/contact objectives and record inbound marketing leads into Salesforce.

Perform activities to support development of the sales pipeline to drive sales growth.

Document all activity in Salesforce and utilize a reliable system to manage prospecting, lead, and sales cycles.

Maintain related processes, procedures, and required documentation for order management and customer communications to ensure accuracy.

Position is located on the RICO campus; travel is not required.

Role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience

High School degree or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a business‑to‑business sales or customer service environment.

Outstanding phone and verbal communication skills, including active listening, and strong writing skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to identify solutions and take appropriate action to resolve moderately complex issues.

Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent attention to detail and demonstrable follow‑up skills.

Motivated and energetic self‑starter with a positive, inclusive, and creative outlook, capable of working independently as well as within a team.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate level (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Intermediate but advanced knowledge of CRM software, ideally Salesforce.

Proven ability to manage internal and external client expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Infor Cloud Suite Industrial (Syteline).

Industrial customer service or sales experience.

Experience with ZoomInfo or comparable research/data‑mining programs.
