JOB SUMMARY Provide physical therapy assessment, therapy, and consultative services for children with motor and sensory impairments through Early Intervention.

DUTIES

Serve children birth to 3 in Early Intervention.

Evaluate motor and sensory skills to determine eligibility for special education services using standardized assessment instruments.

Assess motor (gross and adaptive) and sensory development to determine appropriate type and amount of physical therapy services required to ensure reasonable educational progress.

Instruct, train, and monitor classroom staff and parents in implementing motor activities, accommodations, and modifications.

Design and fabricate adaptive devices and equipment to enhance independence in the educational setting.

Collaborate with other personnel and agencies to provide coordinated and effective services.

Participate in IFSP and IEP meetings to assist with developing individual child educational plans.

Implement motor activities, accommodations, and modifications that support IFSP and IEP goals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Degree in Physical Therapy required with graduation from an accredited physical therapy school. Must hold an Oregon Physical Therapist License.
