Must be Certified CNA./ppWest Meade Place is looking for an Activity Assistant to join our fun team and assist in providing therapeutic programs which meet each patients individual needs while providing an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment and other duties as requested. Applicant must have a desire to work with seniors, be compassionate, caring and creative. The ideal candidate must be creative, energetic, and have knowledge of the domains of wellness as it relates to programming in long term care. Your goal would be to provide daily meaningful activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents./pp5 days a week - Weekends Required/ppSpecifically you are responsible for:/pulliDeveloping and implementing a well-rounded wellness program for Long Term Care, Memory Care or Rehab patients as assigned (This will include some weekend and/or holiday hours)/liliTimely completion of assessments, care plans and associated paperwork/liliEnsuring that all local, State and Federal guidelines regarding programming are met/liliBringing the fun/liliOther duties as assigned/li/ulpOther important skills are:/pulliStrong communication and time management/liliAbility to be a team player and work with other departments to build staff morale/liliBasic typing and computer skills/liliKnowledge of Microsoft Word and Publisher specifically for producing monthly calendars and newsletters along with other external and internal marketing material/li/ulpRequirements: Must be self-motivated, creative with positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm. Must be able to work with family members, partners, and the community.
