Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Technical Writer to support a U.S. Navy Engineering and Technical Support Services contract. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineers, analysts, test officers, and program managers to produce clear, accurate, and compliant documentation that supports naval systems development, maintenance, and operational readiness./ppResponsibilities:/pulliDevelop, edit, and maintain technical documentation including manuals, SOPs, engineering reports, and specifications./liliTranslate complex technical concepts into user-friendly content for diverse audiences./liliEnsure all documentation complies with Navy standards (e.g., MIL-STD-38784, SECNAVINST 5210.16)./liliWork closely with SMEs to gather source material and validate technical accuracy./liliSupport configuration management and version control of documents./liliAssist in preparing deliverables for contract milestones and audits./liliMaintain document repositories and ensure accessibility for authorized personnel./li/ulpQualifications:/pulliBachelors degree in English, Communications, Engineering, or related field./lili3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a DoD or Navy environment./liliFamiliarity with Navy documentation standards and lifecycle support./liliProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems./liliStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities./liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills./liliActive DoD security clearance (or ability to obtain one)./li/ulpPreferred:/pulliExperience with Navy systems such as NAVSEA, SPAWAR, or NAVAIR./liliKnowledge of XML, SGML, or S1000D technical publishing standards./liliFamiliarity with engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering./li/ulpThis position is located in White Sands Missile Range, NM./p/div
