Our Aeronautics Systems sector is currently seeking an Aircraft Structures Mechanic Level 3 or Level 4 to join our operations team, located in Clearfield, UT, working on major assembly structures such as fuselage panels and bulkheads, and structural subassemblies such as rudders, flaps, and stabilizers. This position will support our B shift (4/10s schedule, WEEKDAY NIGHTS) production. This role can be filled at an Aircraft Structures Mechanic Level 3 or Level 4 depending on the qualifications below./ppPosition Requirements: This position requires experience working on aircrafts with a complete understanding of the detailed aspects of the job with practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered. The candidate will receive limited supervision with few instructions for routine work and general instructions on new activities or special assignments. May assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of lower-level employees./ppWhat youll get to do:/pulliAligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures/liliPerforming part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming./liliMeasuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions./liliModifying incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure./liliMonitoring and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures./li/ulpBasic Qualifications for a Level 3:/pulliHigh School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 4-years of relatable aircraft experience in manufacturing/production experience (or similar)/liliPerform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: lifting over 25 pounds, working with chemicals, prolonged overhead work, climbing up and down ladders, prolonged kneeling, bending, or stooping, carrying tools, testing for and wearing a respirator, and working in awkward and/or confined spaces/liliDoD Secret Security Clearance and special program access required to start, but not required to apply/liliAbility to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, etc./liliAbility to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends/liliMust successfully complete and pass the ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliActive DoD Secret level security clearance/liliAP License/liliPrevious composite, manufacturing, or production experience/liliDemonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools/liliAbility to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating procedures/li/ulpBasic Qualifications for a Level 4:/pulliHigh School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 6-years of relatable aircraft experience in manufacturing/production experience (or similar)/liliPerform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: lifting over 25 pounds, working with chemicals, prolonged overhead work, climbing up and down ladders, prolonged kneeling, bending, or stooping, carrying tools, testing for and wearing a respirator, and working in awkward and/or confined spaces/liliDoD Secret Security Clearance and special program access required to start, but not required to apply/liliAbility to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, etc./liliAbility to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends/liliMust successfully complete and pass the ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliActive DoD Secret level security clearance/liliAP License/liliPrevious composite, manufacturing, or production experience/liliDemonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools/liliAbility to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating procedures/li/ulpPrimary Level Salary Range: $25.34 - $42.26 Secondary Level Salary Range: $30.14 - $50.24 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
