Editorial Clerks provide general office assistance to all editors and newsroom employees. The ideal candidate must be energetic and eager to learn the News business with a desire to write and grow./ppNote: This position is an on-call role with no consistent schedule./ppResponsibilities:/pulliField and reroute phone calls from reporters and the public/liliTake incoming news tips/liliSort and distribute mail/liliTraffic any type of material from one person/department to another/liliSupport tasks in and out of the office as requested by all editors on the news room floor/li/ulpRequirements:/pulliPrior experience in print or digital media a plus/liliHighly responsible and reliable, able to be organized with attention to detail/liliAbility to work flexible part-time schedule including nights, weekends and holidays/liliA passion for journalism!/li/ulpNote: This is an in-office position./ppAt The New York Post we recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.
