Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars./ppSheet Metal Technician (Metal Cutting)/ppPrepare, run, setup, and operate the Shear Machine/ppPrepare, shear, issue material electronically, and if needed submit RFPO/ppManage Sheet Metal material inventory by accurately issuing material to provide material support to Waterjet, Punch Press, and Laser Machines/ppReceive incoming material and properly scan to the designated location/ppResponsible for overall area safety, delivery targets, and creative ways to increase product reliability, efficiency, and reduce overall cost/ppUnderstand blueprint reading and geometric tolerances and how they relate to the finished part/ph3Basic Qualifications:/h3ulliHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate/lili3+ years of experience working with precision equipment (scales, calipers, height gauges, micrometers, etc.)/lili1+ years of experience with the setup and operation of JMT Shear Machine or any Shear Brand Machine/li/ulh3Preferred Skills and Experience:/h3ulliAbility to meet daily/weekly production goals with critical time schedules/liliAbility to read blueprints and complete basic math/liliAbility to run and operate Shear Machine/liliExperience in material handling and production coordinating are essentials/liliAbility to manage the Sheet Metal material inventory i.e. receiving, submit RFPO, Shear, and issuing materials/liliExperience in operating Waterjet, Punch Press, and Laser Machines/li/ulh3Additional Requirements:/h3ulliMust be able to work the following shifts:/liulliMonday to Friday, 5:00AM
3:30PM/li/ulliMust be willing to work overtime, and/or weekends as needed/liliStanding for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching are generally required to perform the functions of this position/liliAbility to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted/li/ulh3Compensation and Benefits:/h3pPay range: Sheet Metal Technician/Level 1: $23.00 - $27.00/hour Sheet Metal Technician/Level 2: $26.00 - $32.50/hour Sheet Metal Technician/Level 3: $31.00 - $38.00/hour/ppYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience./ppBase salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
