Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars./ph3Responsibilities:/h3ulliOperate and maintain equipment such as laser cutters, press brakes, water jets, and roller machinery/liliAssemble basic flight hardware which includes torqueing fasteners/liliRead basic blueprints to ensure parts are made to engineering specifications to meet customer needs/liliUse basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and radius gauges to verify the conformance of hardware/liliFabricate complex, tight tolerance parts, using various sheet metal materials that include several types of steel aluminum, Pyron, and zouk/li/ulh3Basic Qualifications:/h3ulliHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate/lili1+ years of experience working with machinery in a shop environment/li/ulh3Preferred Skills and Experience:/h3ulli5+ years of machine operating experience/liliExperience operating all equipment in a high-volume sheet metal fabrication shop/liliHigh mechanical aptitude/li/ulh3Additional Requirements:/h3ulliMust be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed/liliAbility to stand for extended periods - 8 hours minimum/liliAbility to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces/liliComfortable with repetitive movement, bending or twisting, and using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting/li/ulh3ITAR Requirements:/h3ulliTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C.
