DSPs in this program are responsible for providing active support in the individuals home and in the community. Areas of support will include health maintenance, medication administration, personal cares, behavior management and life skills development./ppResponsibilities of this position will include:/pulliAccompanying individuals to community and social events/liliAssisting individuals with personal care responsibilities, administering medications and providing transportation based on individual needs/liliSupervising, teaching independent skills, and providing guidance to adults with disabilities and mental illness in a variety of home, community, and social settings/liliDocumenting individual information as required by the Person-Centered Service Plan/liliMaintaining flexibility and composure while working alone or in a team environment/liliAssisting/Teaching individuals daily living skills such as household chores, laundry, cleaning, and washing dishes, as appropriate and according to their plan/liliCompleting the competency-based modules as dictated by the North Dakota Department of Human Service, Developmental Disabilities Division/li/ulpOther duties not listed above may be assigned./ppRequired:/pulliMust be at least 18 years old/liliCurrent drivers license/li/ulpPreferred:/pulliPrevious experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities/li/ulpEEO, including disability/vets/p/div
