General Assembly Job-1st Shift-Temporary

divh2General Assembly Associate/h2pSpherion Staffing has several openings for general assembly associates on 1st shift. These positions will provide assembly of parts following blueprints or layouts, quality control of finished units and support shipping and receiving functions in this production environment. Qualified applicants should have previous manufacturing or assembly experience and be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Pay $18/hour./ppResponsibilities:/pulliSet up, assemble, repair, test and package final and sub-assemblies/liliMaintain required work quality and output at all work stations and assembly lines/liliOperate test equipment to ensure product meets all required test specifications, document and report any discrepancies/liliMonitor daily quality of assemblies and report all problems/discrepancies/liliMay be required to train or direct work of co-workers/liliMaintain and report inventory accuracy/liliMaintain housekeeping and organization of the department and work area/liliMay be required to sweep area, haul trash and perform minor maintenance of certain pieces of equipment/liliPerform other duties as assigned, including shipping/receiving functions, material handler etc./li/ulpWorking hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM/ppSkills: See below/ppEducation: High School/ppExperience: 1-4 years/ppQualifications:/pulliMust have a high school degree or equivalent/liliMust be able to stand/walk/sit, for up to eight hours/liliAbility to lift up to 40 lbs/liliShould have good computer skills/liliMust have a good understanding of blue prints and operation layouts/liliPrevious manufacturing and/or Assembly experience/liliEmployee must have steel toed boots/li/ul/div
