Ensures that patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures. Distributes appropriate information to hospital departments./ppSUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/pulliResponsible for scheduling patients, setting up patient files, registering patients, entering charges for clinic services/liliResponsible for verifying payment (insurance, workers comp, indigent etc.) eligibility./liliResponsible for obtaining all needed patient signatures and collecting payment on outgoing patients. Record payments and forward to NTMC Business office per clinic policy./liliProvides information to the patient/patient representative about billing, complaint process, patient rights, and HIPAA. Distributes Clinic specific literature./liliCommunicates appropriately and clearly to supervisor, physicians, and coworkers./liliInteracts professionally and compassionately with patients/their families and provides explanations and verbal reassurance as necessary./liliEnsures that documentation meets current standards and clinic/hospital policies/liliMaintain accurate patient medical records.
