divh2Reconciliation Specialist/h2pThe Reconciliation Specialist utilizes exceptional auditing and investigating skills to identify discrepancies and resolve them./ph3Job Relationships/h3pReports to the Remittance Process Supervisor/ph3Principal Responsibilities/h3ulliReconciliation of cash/check/and credit card payments from patients with the bank deposits and the credit card companies on a daily basis/liliReconciling posted payments for multiple organizations against bank deposits/liliIdentifying and addressing deposits with missing remit information that prevents the payment from being posted onto the correct account/liliRetrieving remit and payment data from various insurance payer and vendor websites/liliReports all deposit and posting activity to Accounting utilizing a variety of spreadsheets and tracking tools and works with vendors to ensure timely and accurate reporting/liliScans all required documents for accounting and/or document storage as needed, including daily jackets/liliManages the flow of checks and cash shipped into the department by mail or from clinical locations by depositing, reporting, and potentially posting the funds/liliWorks with clinical teams to resolve batch issues/liliResponds to inquiries regarding missing or mis-posted payments/liliMonitors payer payment cycles and reports anomalies to leadership daily/liliFollows up on unposted activity to ensure the reason for the unposted monies is addressed in a timely manner/liliMonitors bank deposits by major payers and alerts leadership team of gaps or delays in payments/liliDistributes posting and deposit information to partner vendors/liliPosts payroll deduction payments to accounts for clinic employees/liliDeposits MOHA cash payments/liliAssists leadership with projects within related scope of responsibility/liliPerforms other job duties as assigned/liliComply with Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures/liliAdhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training and accomplishments as required per policy/li/ulh3Education/Experience/h3ulliHigh school graduate or GED required/lili10 key calculator experience required/liliPrevious banking/cashiering experience helpful/liliFamiliarity with insurance EOBs strongly preferred/liliComputer and typing skills required/li/ulh3Knowledge, Skills and Abilities/h3ulliMust have a good understanding of basic accounting principles/liliMust exercise good human relation skills in relating to other departments/liliMust be proficient at using Excel/li/ulh3Working Environment/h3ulliOffice environment, sitting for long periods/li/ulh3PHI/Privacy Level/h3ulliHIPAA1/li/ulpJob Identification: 7901/ppJob Category: Patient Accounting/ppLocation: 3201 Robbins Road, Springfield, IL, 62704, US/ppPosition Hours per Week: 40/ppPay Range: $17.86 - $25.90/p/div
