Job Summary
The primary accountability will include supporting existing customers, exploring opportunities for new products as well as expanding business within the current customer base, and introducing products to prospective customers. Providing responses to customer inquiries in a timely manner. Assisting the field sales force with customer support. Ensure regular telephone contact with all key account customers and existing client base, prospects and leads. Follow up with customers on quotations. Prospect and qualify new business opportunities. Generate price quotations for new, and renewed sales opportunities following pricing strategies. Understand the relevant material specifications and customer requirements. Provide support to purchasing to maintain ideal stock levels for customer long term contracts. Participates in monthly sales meetings to report on previous months efforts. Some travel required. Future relocation is a strong possibility Required Skills
Shows leadership capabilities; analytical skills to determine profitability on both large bid packages and daily transactions; negotiation and critical decision-making skills; effective communicator; capable of building and developing strong business relationships; presentation skills Bachelor's degree Previous sales experience is not required, but a willingness to learn and understand sales is required; previous customer relations experience is preferred; must have written and verbal communication skills; must have a good computer and applications knowledge; experience using MS Office products; email and databases preferred; ability and desire to learn is essential to this position; must have ability to work effectively in a team environment.
