divh2Outside Sales Account Manager/h2pLocation: Albany, OR - Retail shop/ph2How Will You Contribute and Grow?/h2pThe Account Manager sells welding products as well as industrial and specialty gases. They will advise customers on tools, hardware and materials needed and procedures to follow. Sells abrasive products such as wheels, disks, and belts, sells safety apparel and equipment such as goggles, helmets, hearing protection devices, welding jackets, etc. Calls on prospective and existing customers to increase sales. Works with Airgas Product specialists and VMI Technicians to bring value and added resources to improve customers profitability/pulliLeads and promotes safety, attends safety meetings and strictly observes safety rules. Ensure any injury or accident is reported immediately, and investigated promptly./liliMaintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, vendors, co-workers and management./liliBuilds strong relationships with all branch personnel and create open communication with branch managers to grow and support business./liliDevelops sales objectives for the territory and recommends appropriate action./liliAchieve profitable sales targets in the assigned territory through sales of all products, related gas handling and safety equipment./liliIncreases sales and profit margin through penetration to assigned accounts and by closing new accounts./liliMay provide customer specific safety training in compressed gas handling and cryogenics./liliAnswers customer inquiries and satisfactorily resolves customer complaints./liliActively pursue and acquire, on an on-going basis, new and competitive accounts with emphasis on gases, business and product supply agreements./liliExpands existing customer base with all product lines from Airgas NorPac inventory./liliMaintains and upgrades selling skills and technical/product knowledge./liliCompletes daily use of Salesforce, ensuring data accuracy and completeness in all entries and updates./liliPrepares annual sales analysis and forecasts for the manager./liliProvides market and competitor information to the manager./liliMaintains a professional and neat appearance of self and vehicle when representing the company./liliEnsures customer inquiries related to billing problems, cylinder balances, order status, and time of delivery are promptly and courteously handled, providing follow-up as necessary./liliManages pricing strategies and gross margins of assigned accounts./liliSchedules joint sales calls with vendors and Airgas Product Specialists./liliAirgas associates are encouraged to act with care, adapt to our environment and engage to trust and grow - core tenets within the Be, Act, Engage framework of employee performance./li/ulh2Are You a Match?/h2pRequired Education: High school diploma or equivalent with Bachelors degree preferred with minimum of three years related experience or equivalent combination of both./ppRequired Length

Type of Experience: At least three years experience in industrial outside sales is recommended. Some experience in handling compressed gases and welding knowledge is preferred. Customer service or sales experience in the local market is recommended./ppKnowledge, Skills

Abilities (KSAs): Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines. Must possess a valid drivers license, clean driving record, and appropriate level of auto insurance coverage. Must have reliable transportation and be able to work flexible hours to meet management expectations. Must have proficient computer skills using Google systems and CRM system (specifically Salesforce.com). Must be comfortable with public speaking and presenting information in front of a group. Possess strong interpersonal and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with a diverse group of associates, management, regulatory agencies, and/or members of the general public.
