CDL-A Driver Local Deliveries (No Nights / No Weekends!) Harrisonburg, VA $29/Hour (Based on Experience) | Full-Time | Direct Hire Position AtWork Personnel Harrisonburg is seeking an experienced CDL Class A Driver for a full-time, local driving opportunity. This position offers consistent Monday Friday daytime hours, dependable year-round work, and the chance to be home every night. We are looking for a seasoned, safety-focused driver with strong experience navigating residential and commercial job sites - including tight access points, steep grades, and occasional oversized loads. Responsibilities: Operate a day-cab tractor with trailer capacity up to 46,000 lbs Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections Safely load, secure, and transport materials using forklifts & equipment Navigate challenging delivery environments, including: Muddy or stone driveways Tight spaces Steep inclines or grade changes Oversize loads (escort may be provided) Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding schedules and updates Complete all DOT-compliant driver logs and delivery documentation Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions safely and professionally Follow all company, DOT, and traffic safety regulations Schedule: Monday Friday 7am - 4pm No nights, no weekends Requirements: Valid CDL-A license Minimum 5 years of CDL-A experience (required) Current DOT medical card Clean, respectable MVR Strong working knowledge of DOT regulations Ability to perform physical work and secure loads Ability to troubleshoot and adapt to weather, terrain, and site challenges Professional communication and customer service skills Must pass background check and drug screening Must meet all DOT and company safety requirements ***THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE POSITION W/ FULL BENEFIT PACKAGE FROM COMPANY***
