Sales Trainee
Join us at Butler Machinery as a Sales Trainee. Location: Rapid City, SD or Pierre, SD. Department: Sales. Type: Exempt, Full-Time. Why This Role Matters: As a Sales Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience within the Agricultural (AG) and Construction Business sector while developing essential sales and customer relationship skills to build a successful career with Butler Machinery. This role is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to all aspects of Butler Machinery's equipment operations, equipping you with a strong understanding of our business functions. In addition, you will support various departments through sales assistance and cross-functional collaboration as you grow into a key contributor to the Butler team. What You'll Do: Be an expert on all brands, equipment, and services that Butler represents in our AG and Construction Business and systems. Be a master at building long-term relationships with current and new customers. Support the team with assisting with demos in the territory and farm shows. Traveling for day trips or overnights, for job shadowing or support of the team. What You Bring: Education in Agri-Business, or business experience, training related to the agriculture industry. Basic knowledge of retail finance, current farming practices, or leasing. Ability to problem-solve, be a self-starter with high energy to learn and do more! Willingness to relocate as salesman, product specialist, demo operator or other openings across BMC. What We Offer: Competitive pay & profit sharing
