Sales Representative
An international trading company in Portland Office is seeking a sales rep who supports the achievement of the department's financial goals by maintaining/expanding existing business and supporting the development of new business in the food industry. Responsibilities include: Support budget management of the department. Assist in development of a business plan and sales strategy. Assist in development of new importing & exporting business in the food industry. Negotiate and close terms of purchase/sales with supplier and customers. Contacting customers. Create new business and/or expand business. Monitor customer's financial situations and payment status. Ensure the business compliance. Research and analyze investment opportunities in the North American food industry. Supervise Sales assistant/Logistic specialist. Responsibilities also include customer service as well as administrative tasks. Requirements: 2-3 years of relevant work experience preferably in the seafood/marine products industry. Appropriate knowledge of FDA, USDA, and U.S. Customs is a plus. Knowledge of trade terms and food products. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, closing, persuasive skills. Strong customer service skills. Ability to train sales assistant/Logistic specialist. Knowledge of basic accounting principles. Proficient with Microsoft Office products. Business level Japanese. (speak, read, and write) Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals. Benefits: A great benefit package.
