divh2Sales Account Executive/h2pThis position is based at WJTV in Jackson, MS and is the local CBS affiliate. WJTV produces daily local newscasts as 12 News and is the #1 community minded station in Jackson, MS./ppThe Sales Account Executive generates both broadcast and digital advertising revenue by calling on established agencies, cold-calling new prospects and demonstrate the merits of marketing and advertising. You will develop and increase sales volume for both TV and digital revenue, with a focus on working with local clients in the Jackson, MS area (DMA)./pulliImplements strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals./liliEstablishes credible relationships with local business community./liliProspect, qualify, close, and grow NEW business./liliMakes sales calls on existing and prospective clients./liliMaintains assigned accounts and develops new accounts./liliPrepares and delivers sales presentations to clients./liliContinue to learn and implement new strategies and products./liliExplains to customers how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible. Be an advocate for our products and programs./liliProvides clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement in all media./liliDevelops advertising schedules with clients and station personnel responsible for placing advertising into station media. Work with creative services in the production of clients creative elements for both broadcast and digital advertising campaigns./liliResponsible for order entry, contracts, follow-up, and collections./liliBuild and present proposals to prospective clients/liliPerforms other duties as assigned./li/ulpRequirements
Skills:/pulliBachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience./liliSales experience preferred, but willing to train the right person./liliValid drivers license with an acceptable driving record./liliExperience achieving long-range objectives and implementing the strategies and actions to achieve them./liliKnowledge of digital marketing basics (Google/Facebook, etc.) preferred./liliProficiency in MS Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and basic office equipment required./liliBase Pay + Commission: $50K with potential to make $100K+ based on activity/li/ul/div
