Customer Service & Sales Representative
The Customer Service & Sales Representative serves as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. This role involves providing information about Farmers insurance products, processing claims, and assisting clients with policy management, and supports day-to-day agency operations by delivering exceptional customer service, managing policy inquiries, and contributing to sales growth across personal lines products. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build lasting relationships with customers while supporting the agency's sales and retention goals. An active Arizona Property and Casualty License is required; a background check by Farmers Insurance Group is also required. Key Responsibilities
Customer Service Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, policy changes, billing questions, and coverage explanations. Provide prompt, professional, and accurate responses by phone, email, and in person. Assist customers with claims questions and guide them through the proper reporting process. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and follow-through. Ensure all customer interactions and documentation are handled in compliance with Farmers Insurance guidelines. Sales & Lead Management Generate and qualify leads through incoming calls, outbound calls, referrals, and marketing activities. Present and recommend Farmers products including Auto, Home, Renters, Umbrella, Specialty, and Life Insurance (if licensed). Prepare accurate quotes and follow up to convert opportunities into new policies. Support agency production goals by meeting daily/weekly activity expectations (quotes, follow-ups, cross-sells). Identify opportunities for cross-selling and account rounding to improve retention and deepen customer relationships. Administrative & Operational Support Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, reinstatements, and payments. Maintain customer files, CRM notes, and agency records with high accuracy. Assist with agency marketing efforts, including email campaigns, community outreach, and social media activity. Support onboarding of new customers and ensure smooth transitions into the agency. Participate in ongoing Farmers training programs to stay current on products, systems, and compliance requirements.
