Job Duties Actively support ELITE’s values at all times. Be on time, set priorities, and be personally accountable for the functions associated with assigned position and project. Maintain positive relationship with Client, Architect, Engineering contacts, government representatives, and other project stakeholders to facilitate construction activities, while assisting the Superintendent in keeping everyone informed and involved. Ability to work long, unsupervised hours, including the possibility of working during “off hours” and/or weekends. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including rain events, extreme heat and extreme cold. Essential and routine aspects of the job include standing and/or walking over uneven, varied, and/or obstructed terrain for extended periods of time, climbing stairs and/or ladders, operating heavy machinery, operating power tools, and some lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. Punctual, regular attendance is an essential function of the job. Perform additional assignments as directed by the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent. Operate equipment, where training has been provided, as necessary. Construction Responsible for assisting the Superintendents in all aspects of on-site management including, but not limited to: quality control, job safety, receiving and safeguarding materials, and jobsite cleanliness. Assist Superintendent with the set up of all equipment, furniture, utilities, and interior layout of the field office. Assist Superintendents with the supervision of all on-site subcontractor activities, including but not limited to: manpower levels, material quantities, equipment requirements, temporary power sources, work schedule, and documenting actual hours worked. Assist Superintendents with coordination of assigned work scopes with work of different crafts and subcontractors. Responsible for assisting the Superintendents with the coordination and completion of quality checklists, punch lists, etc. Assist Superintendents in resolving construction challenges (lack of manpower, productivity, work interfaces, safety concerns, etc.) as required while actively circumventing/resolving such problems as required. Assist Superintendents in monitoring compliance with project safety program and OSHA requirements, documenting as necessary, while ensuring corrective measures are implemented. Assist Superintendents in maintaining a current set of as-built documents. Assist Superintendents in conducting weekly/regular jobsite safety/schedule coordination meetings with subcontractors. Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on the jobsite by ensuring that all staff and vendors adhere to established safety standards. Proactively engage teams through observation and dialogue to reinforce safe work practices, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure full compliance with the safety program. Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 1-year experience in the construction industry, or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
