About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator who is confident working independently from start to finish — including quantity takeoffs, pricing, bid development, and presentation of proposals to owners and stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, performs well in pre-bid walkthroughs, and is comfortable representing the company during interviews and proposal meetings.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the full estimating process for assigned projects for the full lifecycle of preconstruction, from concept through final bid. Interpret the construction plans, specifications and contracts. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, scope reviews, and cost analysis independently. Produce a clear Basis of Estimate (BOE): assumptions, inclusions/exclusions, means and methods, logistics, phasing. Build General Conditions. Validate allowances and alternates with spec/page references; capture unit prices and breakouts required to Bidders. Review subcontractor and supplier proposals for scope alignment. Prepare bid schedules, clarifications, and value engineering options. Bid-Day Management & Submission, direct bid day operations, live quote tracking, clarifications, last minute scope gap closure and final risk/margin decisions. Produce a complete submission package and ensure timely through the specified portal/email/sealed methods. Develop a risk register. Validate binding, insurance riders, permits/fees, L&D and other commercial requirements. Coordinate with operations and project management teams during handoff. Maintain estimating database, historical pricing, and cost benchmarking.

Attend and represent the company: Pre-bid site visits & walkthroughs Owner presentations & interviews Pre-construction meetings Develop and maintain client relationships Networking and building relationships with trade partners. Collaboration with Owners, Architects, Engineers and Project Managers.

Required Experience & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Construction Estimator. Min 5 years 4 year degree or trade school (preferred) Strong knowledge of construction means and methods Design Build
