TEG Federal Credit Union is seeking an organized, experienced, and detail‑oriented Mortgage Servicing Specialist to join our Residential and Commercial Lending team in Hopewell Junction, NY. As the Mortgage Servicing Specialist, you will be responsible for loan payment processing and administration, reconciliation, escrow and insurance administration, periodic loan accounting reports, and investor servicing requirements. This role supports both residential and commercial mortgage portfolios and requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and member service.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications):
3–5 years of experience in mortgage loan processing, servicing, or a related role
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, including specialized certifications, licensing, vendor training programs, or job‑specific skills gained through an apprenticeship
Strong customer service and member relationship skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience with FICS and/or PC Lender systems is a plus
Ability to research, analyze, and resolve payment discrepancies
Must be available to work end of month as required (may involve remote weekend assignments several times per year)

What You’ll Do as the Mortgage Servicing Specialist (Responsibilities):
Maintain mortgage loan information including payment postings, payoffs, curtailments, billing statements, and member updates
Research and resolve payment discrepancies and assist with end‑of‑day and end‑of‑month balancing and reconciliation
Prepare periodic loan accounting and investor reports, including Freddie Mac reporting and remittances
Manage escrow accounts, including payment of taxes and insurance and completion of monthly escrow analysis
Run daily and monthly servicing reports through the servicing system and retain documentation per policy
Answer member and internal inquiries related to payments, escrow accounts, payoffs, and loan details
Process hazard loss claims and follow investor guidelines for disbursement
Document hardship requests, prepare approval documents, coordinate with Collections, and follow up on repayment plans
Service CTP, Homestyle, commercial construction, and commercial residential loans, including draw requests, inspections, and funding
Process loan exports for investor purchases and prepare routine member correspondence
Provide backup support for mortgage closing as needed
Pay: $25.00 – $29.00 per hour, based on experience
