Avanade seeks a Business Development Executive who is a deal hunter, deal maker, originator and self-starter who can develop and win new business in a complex consulting environment with sophisticated technology solutions. For this role, we are looking for people with experience in net new sales where you are selling digital transformation and consulting services (e.g. cloud implementation, business applications integration, etc.) to enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for identifying high potential transformation deals, leading, and running many of the entire sales cycles.

You will drive new and incremental revenue by prospecting, acquiring, and developing new and fast-growing business with direct clients in your area of expertise.

You will also work closely with partners driving new business.

You will build a pipeline for growth and closing business, including statements of work and contracts.

You will interact with Avanade’s, new and current clients, gain referrals from them, and form strong trust relationships that open doors and close deals.

You will maintain an extensive knowledge of current market conditions, contending offerings and current penetration of services and solutions.

Compensation at Avanade varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Avanade provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below. We accept applications on an on-going basis and there is no fixed deadline to apply.

District of Columbia: $135,000 - $150,000 plus Sales Incentive Plan

AI Architect The AI Architect is responsible for designing and developing scalable AI solutions aligned to a business strategy and benefits case as well as supporting as an AI technical advisor and SME to help our clients scale their AI programs. The AI Architect will need to understand how various parts of the business processes, operating systems, and application architectures work together to design a specific AI solution that fits a client’s environmental requirements. The AI Architect takes ownership of technology related aspects of AI across the Microsoft ecosystem.

Day to day, you will:

Facilitate team, client meetings and pre-sales presentations.

Partner closely with our AI, IoT, and Intelligent Automation team and Solution Architects to translate the customer's business requirements to define AI & IoT value proposition and solution scope.

Analyze client processes, identify AI opportunities, and recommend approach based on analysis and client maturity.

Estimate, solution, design, and help drive and deliver AI deals.

Help build AI assets and enable internal and external stakeholders while growing capability and delivering high-quality solutions for clients.

Assist in delivery as AI SME, Solution Architect, or Technical Architect

Provide continuous advice, best practices, and quality assurance to AI project teams related to delivery approach and strategy.

What you’ll do

Own the sales cycle end to end: from pipeline creation to signed SOW — including discovery, qualification, pursuit strategy, pricing, negotiation, and close for multi tower services (Data & AI, Security, SRE/Operations, App Dev, Data Engineering).

Sell-to Microsoft: Position Avanade & Accenture’s differentiated services to align with Microsoft’s AI and agentic transformation agenda.

Create Value Propositions: translate technical capabilities (e.g. data platforms, ML Ops, SRE/Service Excellence) into quantified business outcomes tied to the customer’s roadmap.

You’ll be solving your client’s complex distribution challenges and turning their needs into goals and solutions with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 WMS module. Working as part of the ERP team you’ll collect information, analyze requirements and solve problems, providing technical and operational support.

What you’ll do:

Transform business and operational requirements into a straightforward and technical model, and match processes to application requirements

Prototype and configure processes in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) Warehouse Management (WMS) module to make sure the system works the way your client needs it to

Participate in workshops with your clients, consultants, and client leaders reviewing all aspects of the distribution center. Then analyze and design solutions using D365, and handle gaps detected during prototyping.

Work with the technical team to make sure that your clients' needs are incorporated into the specifications and functions.

Create or evaluate a breakdown of your clients’ businesses processes so that you can identify and link functional and non-functional requirements.

Creating end user documentation to prepare your clients to use the system.

Support testing the proposed system and train users.
