Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to join our Cloud Platform Engineering team. This role involves designing and developing solutions to enable cloud adoption and automation, including building libraries, patterns, standards, governance, and deploying everything via Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with cloud components and services, a development mindset, and a solid understanding of coding best practices, CI/CD, SDLC, and Agile methodologies. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop cloud solutions for automation and governance using IaC principles.
- Build reusable libraries, patterns, and standards for cloud adoption.
- Work extensively with AWS components and services such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, DynamoDB, IAM, S3, and API Gateway.
- Develop solutions using AWS CDK and Python programming; familiarity with Serverless Framework is a plus.
- Implement containerization solutions (ECR, ECS) and related services.
- Write Python unit test cases using Pytest.
- Act as an individual contributor while mentoring team members and leading solution design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure best practices and speedy delivery.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and adhere to SDLC and CI/CD processes.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, DynamoDB, IAM, S3, API Gateway).
- Proficiency in Python programming and AWS CDK; knowledge of Serverless Framework is advantageous.
- Ability to write and maintain Python unit tests using Pytest.
- Familiarity with containerization tools (ECR, ECS).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to deliver solutions quickly.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to mentor and lead.
- AWS Developer Associate certification (good to have).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (good to have).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
