BEA is looking for an experienced Software Designer to join the Software team, composed of 4 people, within the Industrialization team. This role collaborates daily with the other teams of the team (electronics, mechanics, processes, production) but also with other departments or business units of the group (R&D, Quality, project managers, Production, etc).

Mission

As a Software Designer, you structure, develop, and evolve the software dedicated to BEA's product testing and calibration equipment. A role where technology and inventiveness go hand in hand.

Your main responsibilities will be the following:

  • Design of testing and production equipment
  • Choice of computer technologies used
  • Coding of various test benches
  • Development of various systems for internal departments: ticketing, printing tools, after-sales management tools, etc.
  • Consistency ensured in the different products designed
  • Writing of test strategies and user guides
  • Carrying out validation tests of equipment (faults, etc.)
  • Management of the structure and product databases

Maintenance of equipment and software

  • Updates of equipment
  • Maintenance of the different tools
  • Technical support to production and subcontractors

Participation in working groups and projects

  • Collaboration with R&D in the context of manufacturing constraints
  • Participation in project follow-ups and design reviews
  • Participation in the assembly of beta runs (manufacturing tests of new products)
  • Training and knowledge transfer to production teams
  • Harmonization of standards with other Business Units
  • Development of the unified digitalization structure

Your skills and qualities

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, ideally with an industrial or technical orientation
  • 5 years of proven experience in a similar role, in an industrial environment (manufacture/fabrication)
  • Mastery of French (C1/C2) and English (B2), to collaborate with our other sites
  • Very good knowledge in C#, with Visual Studio
  • Knowledge of SQL (databases) and Azure DevOps
  • Aptitude in hardware control and low-level control
  • Basics in electronics and mechanics, to ensure the link with the other teams of the team
  • Sense of collaboration: teamwork, projects, coordination of work to be done
  • Ability to transmit and popularize technical subjects and facilitate their understanding
  • Adaptability and flexibility: able to quickly revise your plan of action according to new priorities
  • Technical and technological curiosity and thirst for learning
