L.L.Bean is seeking an experienced Senior Packaging Specialist to join our team in Freeport, Maine.
In this position, you will play a key role in designing and improving packaging solutions that meet consumers’ needs for our direct, retail, and wholesale channels.
In this role you will serve as a subject matter expert on cross-functional teams, influencing packaging and labeling strategies that balance performance, innovation, sustainability, compliance, and cost.The Senior Packaging Specialist also leads packaging process activities, assessing existing processes, and implementing new ones for organization or efficiency.
This position emphasizes creative problem-solving, technical execution, and collaboration. You’ll work closely with internal partners and external suppliers to deliver packaging design and process solutions that help to elevate the L.L.Bean brand.This is an excellent opportunity to grow your expertise in packaging development while contributing to innovative, high-quality solutions that enhance the customer experience.Key Responsibilities Ensure vendor adherence to packaging specifications, labeling and regulatory requirements, and quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of packaging trends / industry trends Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and emerging technologies. Other duties as assigned. **Skills and Qualifications:** 5+ years of relevant experience preferred Strong organizational skills Proven problem solving and decision-making skills Ability to multitask and prioritize workExcellent written and verbal communications skills Ability to effectively communicate across multiple internal departments and levels as well as with vendors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, PLM systems, or Warehouse Management Systems is a plus.Knowledge of Fulfillment systems and operationsDemonstrates leadership skills Experience with consumer products or retail companies is a plus.Over a century ago, company founder Leon Leonwood Bean set out to make a boot to keep hunters’ feet warm and dry.
