General Responsibility Serve as a Special Agent in SLED's VICE/Human Trafficking Unit. Participate in the detection of crime and enforcement of criminal laws. Plan and conduct(tuple complete Human Trafficking and VICE related criminal investigations.

Specific Duties

Conduct Investigations:

Conduct criminal investigations and enforce laws of the State of South Carolina, primarily focused on state statutes pertaining to human trafficking and VICE related crimes.

Support Local Law Enforcement:

Participate and assist local law enforcement agencies when requested and assigned by SLED Lieutenant.

Report Information:

Prepare written statements/affidavits and reports of interviews from suspects, victims and witnesses to crimes or relevant matters. Prepare accurate and grammatically correct reports of investigative findings and prepare status reports for investigations. Provide oral communications concerning cases and matters for briefing and advise Lieutenant as required. Report statistical information related to assigned cases as requested.

Perform Administrative Tasks:

Perform various administrative tasks required by SLED; prepare and submit daily, input data in SCEIS, and submit weekly schedule to the SLED Lieutenant. Maintain accurate case files in assigned investigations. Prepare destruction orders and/or return evidence when cases have been disposed.

Support Program Area/Other SLED Functions:

Perform various support tasks relating to SLED. Maintain issued equipment. Participate in the evacuation of persons from areas threatened by actual or impending disaster. Participate in measures to prevent and/or control civil disorder and acts of violence.signature Participate in training and firearm qualifications. Assist other SLED units with investigations as assigned. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

BachelorCRC degree from an accredited college or university.

Ability to obtain and maintain certification as a Class I Law Enforcement Officer by the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy if not already certified. \_ns? Actually: Compatibility ensure zoekantas? no:

Position subject to overnight travel andonner wise.

Must reside in or be willing to relocate to one of the following counties: Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester, Berkeley, or Orangeburg.

Class I Law Enforcement Certification by the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy is preferred.

Three (3) years of law enforcement investigative experience.
