Overview
Patient Account Specialist (FULLY REMOTE). Join TEKsystems to support providers, health plans, and members with eligibility, benefits, claims, coverage, and authorization of services.
Key Requirements MUST HAVE: 1-3 years of medical patient account representative experience or medical insurance/authorization experience, and must be located in EST or CST time zones.
Schedule & Location Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑5 pm EST. Remote. Eligible only if located in EST/CST. This is a contract position based in Dallas, TX.
Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls from providers, health plans, and members regarding eligibility, benefits, claims, coverage, and authorization of services.
Problem‑solve and explain programs and procedures to callers.
Address claim payment questions with providers.
Use ACD phone system to manage calls.
Provide eligibility, benefits, claim, and referral status based on queue.
Assist in resolving issues for providers related to claims, authorization, and eligibility inquiries.
Qualifications
1‑3 years of experience as a medical patient account representative or related medical insurance/authorization role.
Must be in EST/CST zone.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience in a healthcare call center is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits Pay range: $18.00 – $18.00 per hour. Temporary role. Benefits are subject to eligibility and may include:
