Job Description Civil Engineering CAD Designer with strong experience in single-family residential and commercial sitedevelopment projects.This individual will support civilengineering staff by preparing detailed construction drawings, exhibits,calculations, and technical documents. This role requiresproficiency with CAD software, attention to detail, and the ability to workindependently on complex projects. Job Functions Read,interpret, and work from basic and routine deeds, plats, sketches, as-builts,specifications, and construction drawings. Receivework direction, maintain CAD standards, drawing organization and project filemanagement)for project setup and completion, assist in effectivelyorganizing projects, communicate effectively and foster a cooperative workenvironment with survey and engineering team members. Prepareschematic, design development, and final (construction) drawings as required. Buildand manipulate 3D surfacemodelsin AutoCAD,applycorridor modelingfor road design , and perform earthwork calculations through surfacecomparisons. Utilizeagency regulation documents to design projects according to requirements andstandards. UtilizeAutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare grading designs and plans, street plans andprofiles (both curb and gutter and open ditch design), drainage area maps,storm sewer plans and profiles, and water, sanitary sewer plans and profiles. Prepareconstruction drawings for both commercial and residential development plans,zoning exhibits, and concept plans. Createand markup existing PDF documents using Adobe/Bluebeam. Abilityto work independently and use experience and judgement with minimal direction. Trainand mentor junior CAD staff and provide technical guidance. Supportmultiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Requirements
Qualifications Completion of technical school with CAD designcertificate or associate degree or equivalent experience in Civil Engineeringfield desired. 5+ years of experience in civil engineeringland development field. ProficiencyinCivil 3D in adevelopment design capacity. Strongknowledge of grading, drainage, and utility design practices. Abilityto manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively. Strongcommunication skills and teamwork mindset.
