Climbing Sales Representative
Based out of UCS Office in Lincolnton, NC
We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Sales Representative to assist with Climbing Sales. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, developing customer relationships, and ensuring our products are effectively represented in the market.
Essential Functions
Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement a sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market share goals within the assigned territory.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for growth.
Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of our product line and effectively communicate features and benefits to customers.
Quoting: Use Sketchup software to create quotes based on models supplied by customer or from site measurements.
Site Measurements: Travel to customer locations as needed to conduct site measurements and software.
Project Management: Take part in meetings with customers, architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers discussing logistics, exact measurements, and fine‑tuning details.
Installations: Coordinate with production, shipping and customers to meet and install pads.
Sales Reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to senior management.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product development and production teams to ensure alignment on product offerings and promotional strategies. Support: Train and support distributors and retail partners to enhance product knowledge and sales effectiveness.
Shows and Events: Represent the company at shows, industry events, and customer meetings to promote our brand and products.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
5+ years of sales experience in the climbing or sports equipment industries.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel 50%+ of the time to carry out site measurements and installations. This will include some nights and weekends.
Comfortable speaking with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers in meetings while reviewing drawing sets or models.
Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and able to work independently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SketchUp, and CRM software.
Adobe Photoshop skills is a bonus.
Must be able to pick up 150 lbs comfortably and move easily in and out of trucks to unload and install pads.
Knowledge of other industries such as track and field, gymnastics, or strength and conditioning is a bonus.
