Position Title:
Maintenance Technician Pay Rate:
$32 to $38 per hour. Shift Differential:
25 cents per shift 2nd shift, 30 cents per shift 3rd shift. Sign‑On and Retention Bonus:
$500 after 30 days, $500 after 6 months, $500 after 1 year, additional bonus at 2 years. Category/Shift:
Hourly Full‑Time. 1st shift 7:00 am–3:00 pm; 2nd shift 3:00 pm–11:00 pm; 3rd shift 11:00 pm–7:00 am. Location:
Bedford Park Box Facility, 5300 W. 73rd Street, Bedford Park, IL 60638. The Job You Will Perform
This position supports maintenance in a fast-paced Box Plant, requiring mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, bearing, power transmission, lubrication and electrical skills (PLCs, A/C, D/C motors, drives, schematics). Work with teams to troubleshoot, solve problems, and participate in preventive maintenance. Specific Responsibilities
Follow all safety rules and practices. Perform preventive maintenance (lubrication, wear measurement, position measurement, component repositioning, monitoring operations, vibrations, noise). Perform emergency or breakdown maintenance as needed. Use measurement and test equipment accurately. Repair and install electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems. Maintain clean, organized work areas and clean up after tasks. Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance records and paperwork. Troubleshoot and solve problems. Work cooperatively in teams with strong problem-solving skills. Cross-train in other technical areas to enhance capabilities. Work alternative shifts, weekends, and overtime as required. Use computer systems for maintenance processes, store items, and work orders. Perform other duties as assigned by supervision. Competencies
Mechanical aptitude. Troubleshooting expertise. Electrical knowledge. Minimum Qualifications
High school degree (preferred) and at least two years of maintenance manufacturing experience with at least one year at the same employer. Experience in the corrugated industry is highly qualified. Hiring Process
