Job Title: Real Estate Paralegal (Commercial & Residential Transactions)

Location: New York, NY (On-Site)

Experience: 5-10 Years

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal with 5-10 years of experience in both commercial and residential real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background gained from working in a law firm or title insurance company and will be comfortable handling all aspects of transactional work. This is a full-time, on-site position based in New York City, offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative and professional environment with an outstanding compensation package.

Key Responsibilities

* Support attorneys in all stages of commercial and residential real estate transactions, from contract to closing.

* Review, draft, and prepare closing documents, contracts, leases, financing documents, and title commitments.

* Conduct title and survey reviews, identify issues, and coordinate resolution with attorneys, clients, and title companies.

* Manage due diligence processes, including preparation and organization of checklists, critical dates, and closing binders.

* Coordinate and facilitate closings, ensuring accuracy of all documentation and compliance with deadlines.

* Maintain communication with clients, lenders, brokers, and other stakeholders throughout the transaction process.

* Prepare and file UCC financing statements and related documents.

* Conduct legal research related to real estate law, zoning, and property matters as needed.

* Manage and maintain case files, ensuring organization and timely updates.

Qualifications

* 5-10 years of experience in real estate transactional work (commercial and residential).

* Background from a law firm or title insurance company required.

* Strong understanding of New York real estate laws, regulations, and practices.

* Proficiency in title and survey review, due diligence, and closing procedures.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.

* Flexible, professional, and a strong team player.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with real estate management software a plus.
