About the Opportunity
The Grand Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a Human Resources Director to lead day-to-day HR operations at one of our skilled nursing facilities located near Brewster, NY. This role is ideal for an experienced healthcare HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and enjoys being hands-on with employees and leadership alike.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Lead all onsite human resources functions for a skilled nursing facility
- Partner with department heads to support staffing, employee relations, and retention
- Credentialing and onboarding new hires per NYS requirements
- Administer payroll, benefits, and data accurately and confidentially
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and NYS Department of Health regulations
- Support performance management, coaching, and corrective action processes
- Maintain employee files, reports, and HR documentation
- Serve as a visible, approachable HR presence for staff and leadership
What We’re Looking For
- Prior HR experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
- Working knowledge of employment law, labor compliance, and HR best practices
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
- Experience with payroll and benefits administration preferred
Schedule & Compensation
- Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Compensation: Starting at $65,000+ (based on experience)
