Description
Responsible for producing test instruments and assisting with the coordination of the Office of Test Development. Duties include interfacing with district instructional and administrative staff to plan, facilitate and revise locally created assessment instruments.
Assume a major role in the development of locally developed assessment materials. Tasks include generation of test items, test keys and Spanish translations if applicable.
Edit and revise test items produced by item writers and the Office of Test Development.
Interact with district instructional staff regarding test development tasks.
Keep abreast of research associated with assessment issues reported in professional literature.
Interact with item writers regarding all test materials.
Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 4 years of directly related experience.
Exemplary strategic time/project management and operational planning skills required in implementing district-wide planning and assessment projects and meeting deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with the community, district staff members and the public at large.
Demonstrated advanced PC skills in Microsoft Office software and selected desktop publishing and/or graphics applications.
Ability to learn relevant new software applications in a timely manner.
Experience with upper-level mathematics and/or science at high school level preferred.
