Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Assist the Grocery Manager in directing the operation of the grocery department, including supervising and training personnel on the night crew.

Supervise and participate in all night crew activities to maximize sales, earnings, and customer satisfaction. Report incidents requiring discipline to the Grocery Manager and Store Director.

Communicate with the Grocery Manager and Store Director on night VIDA and associate activities. Train and supervise associates on policies, procedures, and total store night operations as directed.

Maintain product quality: rotate, stock, face, discard out‑of‑code or spoiled products, and maintain the backroom. Clean and dust shelves.

Assist in ordering, receiving, storing, stocking, inventory control,νονται, and building displays. Operate equipment such as hand trucks, six‑wheel carts, pallet jacks, and ladders to keep a safe and sanitary environment.

Assist the Grocery Manager in planning, organizing regular and seasonal merchandise requirements and special sales needs.

Ensure cost, quality and inventory levels by verifying orders against invoices, auditing product cases, and completing accurate reports.

Implement Company and Division operating and merchandising policies. Control shrink; prevent sale of unsafe or out‑of‑code products. Assist in the reclamation process.

Encourage an enthusiastic customer environment with fast, friendly, courteous service. Handle positive vendor relations.

Apply Company loss prevention and security policies during after‑hours. Perform all job duties accurately, safely, with honesty and integrity.

Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned and necessary.

Skills And Physical Requirements Work Environment

Exposure to cleaning chemicals.

May be exposed to temperatures of 28 °F in the cooler andน์โหลด –20 °F in the freezer.

Work occurs in a temperature‑controlled store and loading/receiving areas; occasional outdoor exposure with varying temperatures.

Safety – Sensitive Position: Job responsibilities include the performance of tasks that could affect the safety or health of the employee or others.

Union and Non-Union Pay range: $19.13 to $25.15 per hour (no less than local minimum wage). Starting rates vary based on location, experience, qualifications and any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Benefits available may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, accrued PTO/Vacation, paid holidays, bereavement pay, and retirement plans (pension/401(k) eligibility).
