Job Brief
Parkway East Design is looking for a talented Interior Designer to join our team and provide design assistance on both residential and commercial projects for our high‑end clients. Under the direction of the Project Manager and Principal Designer, you will provide comprehensive project support as you’re entrusted with many of the day‑to‑day aspects of design. We’re looking for true creatives with the technical skills needed to create beautiful design solutions! Candidates must possess a clear understanding of the interior design process, experience drafting in AutoCad/Revit, and demonstrate a promising portfolio of work.

Responsibilities Design Support
Offer your talents generously within the studio as you assist in delivering creative design solutions tailored to our clients’ needs
Take on a wide variety of tasks at every stage of the design process (e.g., creating presentations, drafting documents, pulling fabrics, ordering samples, corresponding with vendors, styling, etc.)
Keep detailed and accurate records as you track and report on design activities, coordinating frequently with team members to ensure the smooth and timely execution of each project
Assist with general office upkeep and operations (e.g., organizing library, filing documents, coordinating with marketing, running errands, tidying studio, etc.)
Cultivate Relationships
Maintain excellent relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors as you cultivate meaningful connections while representing the studio, its brand, and mission
Contribute in positive ways within the studio to encourage a healthy workplace culture, modeling the highest standards of professionalism in design
Learning & Experience
Seek out opportunities to increase your skills and knowledge of the design industry, welcoming constructive feedback and offering insights generously
Must Haves
BS/BA in Interior Design or related field
3+ years industry experience and/or notable portfolio of design
Experience with design process, techniques, & visual elements
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Optimistic approach to problem solving
Organized and on task while managing priorities on deadline
Personable and professional demeanor
Highly collaborative nature & supportive team member
Honest, reliable, and trustworthy
A passion for learning and developing talents
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, & Microsoft Office
Nice to Haves
Experience with Asana, Adobe Creative Suite, and Studio Designer software
Hand sketching and rendering skills
NCIDQ Certification
