EarthWise

is an emerging financial product that supports helping make homes safer, cleaner, and greener. This program includes solar, water, energy efficiency, and safety improvements for families. This program helps expand access to affordable capital for families who might not otherwise have access as this program does not require credit or collateral to qualify and is less expensive as we do not charge any deal fees.

We are seeking an energetic, mission-oriented sales professional and program manager to support the growth of EarthWise. The Clean Energy Sales Consultant will engage in extensive community outreach and contractor recruitment. The Clean Energy Sales Consultant will work with clients to identify their needs and will explain to clients the different types of loan programs available. The Clean Energy Sales Consultant will support the origination of green loans for clients, analyze eligibility, and interact with the underwriting department. The Clean Energy Sales Consultant will ensure excellent communication and client satisfaction from loan initiation to loan closing through project coordination. The Clean Energy Sales Consultant will be required to meet loan goals and will ensure exceptional customer experience.

This role includes both “B2C” business development, connecting directly with homeowners, as well as “B2B” businesses through expanding our partnerships with contractors through our EarthWise Certified program and community-based organizations that align with our mission.

This role includes performance incentives and can develop into a full‑time role if successful. We have a strong preference for bilingual candidates as well as those who have direct experience in the trades and in particular solar industry.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for client and contractor relations, loan documentation, and loan closings.

Collection of financial information and performance of loan pre‑qualification assessment.

Assist clients with product selection, prescreening contractors, fair pricing, project coordination, and loan processing.

Build collaborative relationships with local contractors and government partners to accomplish program goals.

Extensive community engagement with local government stakeholders and clients, public forums, community meetings, and social media.

Build a local contractor network of home improvement companies—roofing, impact windows and doors, air conditioning, and solar, our EarthWise Certified Network.

Work with Groundswell Capital’s Executive Team, Lending Team and Marketing Director on strategies to reach low‑to‑moderate‑income homeowners.

Experience and Skills (Required):

Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, lending, program management or related role.

Exceptional organization, detail orientation and follow through is necessary to track sales funnels and ensure all documents are gathered and submitted correctly.

Comfort with public speaking and training.

Ability to collaborate and communicate with a team while also being innovative and a self‑starter.

Highly competent using mobile technology and financial technology (fintech) as a daily working tool, ideally experience with Salesforce.

Willingness and ability to travel throughout the region.

Basic knowledge of home renovations, including AC, roofs, impact windows and doors, solar energy, and energy efficiency is desirable.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and exemplary customer service and people skills.

Experience and Skills (Preferred):

Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Experience in the solar industry or trades is highly desirable.

Experience working with nonprofits and low‑to‑moderate income communities preferred.

Experience walking clients through loan closings.

Proven ability to cultivate and maintain partnerships with developers, municipalities, and industry stakeholders.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Our office is located in Tucson, Arizona but this program serves communities Statewide. The role can be in‑office, hybrid or remote, based in AZ. Some travel within Arizona and occasional out‑of‑state travel may be required.

Part‑time Contractor (1099)

Location:

Optional Hybrid or Remote - Tucson‑based preferred but not required

Rate:

$500/week (meeting of weekly milestones required) + $300/per qualified trade partner signed up to $10,000 for full project
