Marketing Manager, The Dial Press, Random House (Hybrid)
The Random House Group seeks a dynamic and highly motivated Marketing Manager to lead title-specific marketing campaigns for The Dial Press, reporting directly to the Dial Vice President of Marketing.
The Dial Press, an imprint of the Random House Group, publishes emotionally affecting memoir, narrative nonfiction, and fiction that tell stories of self-revelation and inspired perspectives. The imprint amplifies voices of women and LGBTQ+ and nonbinary storytellers and creates community through publishing programs. Dial is the proud publisher of many New York Times bestselling and award-winning authors, including Ann Napolitano, Lyla Sage, Lamya H, Glennon Doyle, Allegra Goodman, Sarah Kay, Cara Bastone, Laura Lynn Jackson, and Geena Rocero.
Responsibilities
Consumer outreach, preorder campaigns, author platform development, influencer marketing, advertising, and overall creative strategy
Identify potential audiences for each book and ways to reach them through advertising, promotion, and social media while keeping up to date on new platforms and marketing methods
Strong proficiency and interest in platform development and using social media as a marketing tool
Pitch potential partners to secure cross-promotional opportunities that enhance campaign reach and effectiveness
Flexibly manage budgets for assigned titles, ensuring effective allocation of resources
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience in trade or educational book publishing
Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
Self‑motivated and able to prioritize tasks effectively
Strong creative thinking and strategic planning abilities
Ability to multi‑task and thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
Proactive and exceptionally organized, with a strong attention to detail
Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience designing marketing assets using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Canva
Salary and Benefits The salary for this position is $73,500. All positions are currently eligible for an annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
This hybrid position has occasional in‑office responsibilities, including in‑office meetings, author visits or events, and daily ad hoc projects. Candidates may work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri‑state area (NJ, CT, & PA).
