Job Overview Kowalske Kitchen & Bath is seeking a passionate and talented Kitchen & Bath Designer to join our award-winning design-build team. This role blends creativity and technical expertise to deliver exceptional residential design projects—ranging from kitchens and bathrooms to full remodels. You'll work directly with homeowners, guiding them from initial consultation through design development and into construction. Meet with prospective clients to assess project scope, take field measurements, and develop design concepts.
Create compelling kitchen, bath, and remodeling designs using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Chief Architect, from schematics through construction documentation.
Produce floorplans, elevations, cabinetry details, millwork drawings, and electrical/finish plans.
Guide clients through selections, presentations, and finalizing agreements.
Prepare bid estimates and proposals, facilitating a smooth transition to construction.
Maintain accurate project records and enter client data into CRM software.
Conduct on-site visits to ensure design intent, satisfaction, and alignment with construction.
Coordinate all design-related meetings, from initial consultation to final walkthrough.
Stay current with trends, technologies, and continuing education within the industry.
Represent the company with professionalism and courtesy to maintain lasting client relationships.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent experience. (AKBD or CKBD certification a plus.)
5+ years of experience designing and selling residential remodeling projects.
Advanced knowledge of design principles, materials, and residential remodeling products.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Chief Architect.
Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and CRM tools.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and creative problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset.
Self-starter with a team-oriented attitude and high professional integrity.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local site visits.
Availability Monday–Friday; occasional Saturdays may be required.
