Mill Machinist
Kelly Services is seeking a dedicated Mill Machinist to join a reputable company located in Longwood, FL. If you have 1-2 years of mill experience and are looking for a weekend opportunity, we encourage you to apply! Programming experience is not required. Key Responsibilities
Load and unload raw materials. Use gauges, measuring instruments, and hand/cutting tools to meet tolerance requirements. Reduce set-up and machining time through process improvements. Inspect completed work to specifications using calipers, height gauges, micrometers, rulers, etc. Perform geometry and tool wear offsets. Conduct daily and preventative maintenance on equipment. Assist in organizing and maintaining the Machine Shop's work environment. Follow AS9100 requirements and safety procedures. Train new employees/co-workers as needed. Provide feedback for process improvements. Comply with all quality policies and instructions. Track and record job progress and deficiencies daily (written/electronic). Qualifications & Requirements
3-5 years of CNC Mill experience. Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints. Skilled in using measuring instruments accurately. Ability to set up and operate lathes and/or mills with minimal supervision. Knowledge of various CNC controls as well as M and G code. Basic math skills for calculations related to machining. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and committed to quality. Physical capability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 30 lbs.
