Customer Service Attendant Opportunity

The City of Coppell Senior and Community Center is seeking a Customer Service Attendant to be a warm and reliable first point of contact at our Senior and Community Center. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a team environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. Schedule Commitment: The Customer Service Attendant works a varied schedule of approximately 1520 hours per week. The role requires flexibility to meet operational needs, including daytime hours, as well as evenings, weekends, and holidays. Currently, the team is seeking candidates that can commit to working Saturday shifts (9:00 AM12:00 PM), as well as facility rentals on Friday evenings (6:00 PM10:00 PM), Saturdays (1:00 PM11:00 PM), and Sundays (10:00 AM11:00 PM), in addition to some weekday shifts. Pay Plan: This opportunity is non-exempt and on Pay Grade #5. The full Pay Grade Range is shown for growth and development opportunities within the grade. Salary determination is supported by budget availability and qualifications of the candidate to maintain internal equity. Min: $19.17 Mid: $23.48 Max: $27.79 Candidate Engagement Plan: This is our anticipated time line and is subject to change. January 2-18: Accepting Applications January 19-23: Application Material Review and Technical Phone Screenings February 26-30: Interview Experience Eligibility: Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age. Previous experience is preferred but not required. CPR/First-Aid/AED certification is required and can be obtained through staff upon being hired. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of customer service principles and techniques for interacting effectively with patrons and team members. Skill in verbal and interpersonal communication to work professionally with patrons and fellow staff members. Skill in managing large crowds and de-escalating customer situations in a calm and effective manner. Skill in typing at least 45 words per minute. Ability to provide courteous, responsive customer service in a public-facing environment. Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a phone, copier, computer, and printer. We offer such a wide variety of services to the community - greatly expanding the purview of traditional parks and recreation. In January 2023 we became Coppell Community Experiences. The name change and rebranding reflects our desire to reimagine the way we serve the Coppell community and continue to meet both current needs and demands of the future.
