Company: Based Agency Location: 110 West Vine Street, Lexington, KY (in-person only) Hours: 30-40 hours per week Pay: Hourly, $10-$15 based on experience About Based Agency Based Agency is a growing digital marketing agency in downtown Lexington. We help service based businesses (contractors, home improvement, auto, etc.) with their marketing and advertising. We’re looking for a creative, thoughtful Copywriting Specialist to help us write content for ads, websites, and campaigns. This is a great role for a college student or recent graduate who loves writing and wants real world marketing experience. This is an opportunity where doom scrolling and being up to date with current social media trends are actually a benefit! What You’ll Do Ad Copy & Creative Write ad copy for Google, Meta, and other platforms Help come up with creative angles, hooks, and headlines Web & Landing Page Copy Write and edit copy for websites and landing pages Help make complex services sound clear and simple Blogs & Content Draft blog posts and articles for clients in different industries Help with research to support content Learn client industries in depth to create strong and relevant copy for them. General Copy Support Edit and improve existing copy Help keep messaging consistent across channels What You’ll Learn How a marketing agency creates and tests copy for real clients How to write for different platforms (ads, websites, emails, blogs) How to think about SEO focused copy (providing relevant content for search engines) How to write for different industries and audiences This is solid, practical experience you can show in a portfolio and on your resume. What We’re Looking For Must work in person at 110 West Vine Street in Lexington, KY Able to work 30‑40 hours per week Strong writing skills and attention to detail Creative and curious – you like coming up with angles and ideas Good critical thinking – you can understand who we’re writing to and why Up to date with current trends across social media platforms Comfortable receiving feedback and revising your work Reliable, organized, and eager to learn Relevant Majors (Not Required, Just Helpful) Students from all majors are welcome, but these are especially relevant: Marketing Advertising Communications Journalism Creative Writing Public Relations Media & Strategic Communication Important Note About Writing & AI We value human written work.
