Description We're on the lookout for a director of sales committed to helping our busy resort meet its sales goals. You will be responsible for designing our sales strategy and revenue targets, training and evaluating our sales personnel, and ensuring that we generate new and recurring business through various areas of revenue. Responsibilities

Analyze market data and use it to develop methods for meeting financial targets, designing marketing plan deliverables, and developing an annual sales forecast

Deliver previous and upcoming week's sales activity reports, as well as monthly sales expense reports, and meet with department managers to keep them up to date on all hotel sales-related expenses

Develop and implement sales strategies that maintain high levels of occupancy and profitability through coordination with department managers

Create methods to help the sales team reach and surpass monthly room booking targets that are in line with the hotel's overall revenue management goals

Generate new revenue by using a targeted outbound sales strategy that includes personal calls in your network, phone solicitation to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups or corporations

Qualifications

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Must have relevant experience of 5+ years as a sales professional, preferably in the hospitality field

Excellent leadership skills, analytical skills, and communication skills

Proven track record of sales success in lead-generation and closing skills

Knowledge of computer-based software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
