Job Summary Minimum one (1) year of experience in a warehouse receiving related position required, in a health care distribution environment preferred. This position is temp to hire.
Job Details
Shift: Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 1:30 pm (or Finish, dependent on volume of workload of the day)
Location: Pearland, 5461 South Sam Houston Pkwy East, Houston, TX 77048
Responsible for the receiving of stock and non-stock items while utilizing the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Ensures proper receipt and staging of items to be put away into the Memorial Hermann Consolidated Service Center (CSC) storage areas, stocked items and items to be cross docked to the appropriate shipping dock area, and non‑stock items.
Follow up and interface with Purchasing, Inventory Management and Accounts Payable teams to resolve vendor shipping and/or invoicing errors.
Reports to the Receiving Manager.
May be required to work overtime and/or weekends when needed.
Job Description Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or GED preferred
Licenses/Certifications: Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certification, preferred
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
Minimum one (1) year of experience in a warehouse receiving related position required, in a health care distribution environment preferred.
Knowledge and skills utilizing a warehouse management system (WMS) for receiving preferred.
Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.
Principal Accountabilities
Reviews purchase orders to ensure they correspond with packing lists.
Inspects deliveries to ensure they match order criteria.
Receives and signs for deliveries.
Unloads deliveries from trucks.
Processes returns on incorrect or unsatisfactory items.
Organizes and stores received items in appropriate areas.
Updates the computer system with correct received items and quantities.
Communicates with Purchasing regarding delays or problems in receiving area.
Maintains accurate records of orders and delivery details.
Manages inventory counts and order requests sent to Purchasing for packaging supplies.
Keeps the receiving area clean and ensures product is properly stored and accounted for daily.
Reports any equipment issues timely.
Enforces and practices safety rules to maintain a safe working environment.
