Records Manager
State Bureau of Investigation (SBI)
If you like to work independently and exercise judgment in office specialties and perform complex production tasks, then this job is for you! The Department of Public Safety is looking for a Records Manager to provide secretarial and administrative support.
Principle Duties
Filling and coordinating GRAMA requests
Helping with public exchanges requiring thoughtful communication and positive interpersonal skills
Processing a variety of agency confidential documents by reviewing for accuracy and completeness, updating information, and evaluating against policy
Providing the public and others with information and assistance to complete forms and applications
Retrieving data found in databases to generate requested reports
Verifying data entry by comparing the source document against input data, utilizing automated verification system, using dual entry or other verification technique
Maintaining and creating files or record keeping systems
Sorting, labeling, filing and retrieving documents, or other materials.
Receiving, researching, and responding to incoming questions or complaints.
Providing information, explaining policy and procedures, and facilitating a resolution.
Monitoring, tracking, and following up on documentation, case files or other assignments to ensure appropriate timelines are met and action completed.
Writing/originating correspondence, documentation, and other written communication.
Processes payments for authorized reports and files timely financial paperwork as required
The Ideal Candidate
Is a current DPS employee
Has professional customer service skills
Has great communication skills
Has computer skills with Word, Excel, etc.
Knows how to deal with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact and professionalism
